Clifford Allen Whitten

Clifford Allen Whitten, 68, of Florence, passed away February 10, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  The burial will be at Riverbend Church of Christ cemetery.  Officiating will be Lynn Holloway. 

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ora Whitten; and nephew, James Anthony Whitten.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Whitten; brothers, Tony Whitten (Rhonda) and Michael Whitten; sister, Cheryl Price (Douglas); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clifford graduated from Coffee High School. He was a graduate of the School for Forensic Science. He worked with Lauderdale County Law Enforcement for 35 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was an Investigator with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department. He loved antique automobiles.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Gibson, Daniel Wood, Regie Wood, Matt Skipworth, Jeff Wood, and Ryan Webb.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie and Jeremy Price and Jerry Kelley.
