Clifford Freeman Miles, 90, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 14, 1934 to John and Rachel Miles. He was a proud resident of Florence, AL. and was a 1953 graduate of Mars Hill Bible School.
He married Helen Gargis on August 22, 1954, in Spring Valley in Colbert County. He worked at and retired from Ford Motor Company. Cliff was a constant encourager and was very involved with the Darby Drive/Cross Point Church of Christ. He loved the Lord and is well known for his signature question, ‘How is your walk with the Lord’? He was always sending hand written letters of encouragement to others and calling almost everyone he knew on their birthday to sing them a happy birthday song.
Some of his favorite things were his family, friends, hunting, coaching baseball and softball, and going to church. Cliff always had the ability to make anyone smile.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Miles; son, Mark Miles (Roxanne); and daughter, Myra Miles; grandsons, Mitch Miles (Missy), Clint Miles, and John Miles; great grandchildren, Hayden, Reid, Carly, Jacob, Sadie, Logan, and Connor; and many nieces and nephews.
