Carol Ann DuBois, age 73, of Florence, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on November 9, 2025, following an extended illness.
Carol was born on February 19, 1952, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Wilburn Horace Erwin and Evangeline Chandler Erwin. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Licensed Practical Nurse from 1977 until her retirement in 2015. Her compassion, gentle spirit, and steadfast devotion to her patients and loved ones left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Billy W. DuBois; daughter, Robin Suzann Brogdon, and her husband, Vince; and stepsons, Howard Wayne Nix, Heath Darrell DuBois, and Rocky David DuBois. She was a proud grandmother to Dylan Chandler Brogdon and Logan Alexander Brogdon. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephew, Martin (Marty) Cleveland Erwin and his wife, Greta, and her niece, Carrie Ann Faires and her husband, Jeff.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Wilburn “Butch” Horace Erwin Jr.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16, at 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Community Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marty Erwin, Vince Brogdon, Dylan Brogdon, and Logan Brogdon.
Honorary Pallbearer: Randall Erwin.
Carol will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her gentle heart and generous spirit will live on in the lives she touched.
