Billy Ray Moore

Billy Ray Moore, 76, of Florence, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center. Billy Ray was a retired firefighter. Billy Ray enjoyed fishing, old cars, Alabama Football, and Atlanta Braves baseball.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Greenview Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Stutts Cemetery, County Road 25, off AL-64, Greenhill, AL.

Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyle and Maudie Moore; brother, J. D. Moore; and sister, Ruth Atchley.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Moore; sons, Jeffery Moore and Mike Chaney (Stacey); daughter, Regina Moore; sister, Bonnie Sue Whitaker (Chuck); grandchildren, Ray Moore, Kimbrell Moore, Haley Edens (Hunter), Alissa Chaney, Blair Bolan, Zach Ray, and Caleb Chaney; great grandchildren, Taylor Moore, Mason Moore, Taylen Ray, and soon to be arriving, Beau Edens.

Pallbearers will be Doug Hartley, Mike Vickery, Wesley Lovelace, Lance Uhlman, Todd Mays, and Eric Balentine.
