Betty Sue (Abernathy) Marks

Betty Sue Marks, 82, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at North Alabama Medical Center.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. at Cloverdale Church of Christ, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be in Cloverdale Church of Christ Cemetery. Officiating will be Dennis Hudgins.

Mrs. Marks is preceded in death by her husband, Herald Marks; her parents, Willie Benjamin Abernathy and Mary Elisabeth Abernathy; and loving brothers and sisters.

She is survived by sons, Randy (Sheryl) Marks and Ronnie (Sherry) Marks; brother, Gene Ed (Linda) Abernathy; grandchildren, Justin (Morgan) Marks, Jacob Marks, Lindsey Marks (Logan Morrison), and Kristen Marks; great-grandchildren, Kinsleigh Morrison and Copeland Marks.

Pallbearers will be Justin Marks, Jacob Marks, Logan Morrison, James Abernathy, William Abernathy, Johnny Cox, Tony Wallace, and David Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers are Jackie West and Steve Wilson.
