He was president of the Tennessee Valley Horseman’s Association and a life-long member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and attended Highland Baptist Church. Billy loved the Lord and he will be greatly missed by his wife, family, and friends.
To know Billy was to love and laugh with him. He was a kid at heart and could relate to people of all ages. Family and friendships were very important to him. Farming was in his blood. In the last years of his life, he spent enjoying time at his farm, Coyote Creek taking care of his horses and teaching kids life lessons and enjoying a good Alabama football game. He was always ready for a good meal with a spoon in his pocket. People were always amazed at how talented he was as an artist.
