Mr. William M. Richie, 88, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at E.C.M. Hospital. He was a native of Winston County, AL and a member of Highland Baptist Church for over fifty years where he served as a deacon.
Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from noon-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Richie was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Jerelene Richie; parents, Virgil and Effie Richie; and a sister, Ida Lee Thompson.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Richie of Marietta, GA; granddaughter, Lauren Oden of Marietta, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and grand-nephews.
