Vera James Holt, 91, of Florence, passed away on October 27, 2017 at her residence in St. Peters, MO. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ of Florence, Alabama and Harvester Church of Christ of St. Peters, MO.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon with the funeral immediately following in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Sonny Owens. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Newman James and Ira Denton James; husband, Grady Holt; brothers, Ed Ira James, Bryson Lemoine James and Malcom W. James.
Survivors include sons, Jesse Hammond and Daniel Hammond; daughters, Nancy Charboneau and Margaret Mabry; brothers, Jesse Clopton James and Graham Farris James; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be family members.
