Ronald Guth Clift, 84, of Florence, passed away December 17, 2017. He was lifetime member of the VFW; a member of the Fraternity of the Order of the Eagles; an electrical engineer for 30 years at TVA; a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School in Tennessee; a graduate of the University of Tennessee; and a USAF veteran of the Korean War.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery with Chaplain Mark McCullar officiating.
Mr. Clift was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evelyn Clift; brother, Norman Clift; and wife, Annie Mae Rogers Clift.
He is survived by his daughter and caregiver, Louise Thornton (Tony) of Florence; Annie’s other children, Judy Pettie (Larry – deceased), William White, Jr. (Donna) all of New Market, Susan Jones of Huntsville, and Roger Risner (Melanie) of Tennessee; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
