Robert Howard Lauderdale, 94, of Florence, passed away on May 09, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center. He was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ for the last 55 years. He was in the United States Navy serving in World War II and present at the battle of Normandy.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home from 12 Noon -2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with military honors at graveside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Anna Lauderdale; wife, Edna Mae Lauderdale and five siblings.
Survivors include his sons, Steve Lauderdale (Phyllis) and Charlie Lauderdale (Jolie) all of Florence; daughters, Bobbie Faye Hall (David) of Florence and Connie Dobbins (John) of Pulaski, TN; two brothers; one sister; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Granddaughters and great-granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Lori Balentine and Janice Cody for the loving care and devotion given to Mr. Lauderdale over the last fifteen years.
