Mary Jewel (Dixon) Hayes

Mary Jewel Hayes, 76, of Florence, passed away May 16, 2019. Jewel was a member of Fairview Church of Christ, a faithful Christian, babysitter, and housewife. She loved crocheting, sketching, and cooking, especially mexican cornbread. Jewel was a favorite of the young people at church because she always gave them gum.

Visitation will be Monday, May 20, 2019 from 11-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Sonny Bogus, and James Paul Nobles officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her parents, James and Esther Dixon.

She is survived by her husband, Jacky Len Hayes; brothers, Larry Dixon and Trent (Debra) Dixon; and sisters, Kathy (Johnny) Daily, Dorcas (Russ) Hutchinson; and special twin sister, Linda Gray, who sat with her almost every day.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
