Lendon Walker Brown, 69, of Florence, passed away on December 23, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He served our nation as a member of the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a farmer and a former Florence police officer.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Greenview Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Reverend Donnie McDaniel and Brother Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with military funeral honors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gay and Walker Brown; in-laws,Elton Putman and Josie Putman and a brother, Louis Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Putman Brown; daughters, Jennifer Brown Wooten (Trey) and Laura Beth Brown Gardner (Rob); brothers, Dwight Brown (Gwenda) and Keith Brown (Susan); sisters, Lois Puckett (J.R.) and Dale Powell (Bill);sisters-in-law, Jeanette Putman and Carolyn McDaniel(Donnie);grandchildren, Jackson Wooten, Emma Kate Gardner, Coleman Wooten, Lilly Ryann Gardner and Molly Elizabeth Gardner.
Serving as pallbearers will be John McDaniel, Scott Puckett, Josh Brown, Ron Daniel, Danny McWilliams and Shannon McKee.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be C.O. “Joe” Haddock, Charlie Haddock, Mark Behel and Dannie Gean and the Central High School class of 1966
