Lena Lorene (Parrish) Fowlkes

Lena Lorene Fowlkes, 77, of Florence, passed away May 30, 2019 at her residence. She was a member of Rhodesville Freewill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12-3 p.m. at Rhodesville Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. at the church with Rev. Troy Jones and Rev. Kenneth Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Fowlkes was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Gladys Parrish; brothers, Benjamin “Buddy” Parrish and Roland Parrish; sister, Christine Young; and granddaughter, Jetta Price.

She is survived by her husband, George Leonard Fowlkes, Jr.; son, Eddie Fowlkes; daughters, Tracy Price (Jessie), and Sara Risner (Jerome); brother, Ralph Parrish (Merilyn); grandchildren, Cody (Megan), Cory (Laken), and Coby Risner, Jacob Price, Taylor Fowlkes, and Tanner and Taylor Borden; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Colton Risner.

Active pallbearers will be Tanner Borden, Bradley May, Cody Risner, Cory Risner, Coby Risner,  Jacob Price and Michael Risner.

Jerome Risner and Jessie Price will serve as honorary pallbearers.
