Mr. Jesse Clinton Gray, 90, of Florence, passed away on August 02, 2017 at his residence. After serving in the United States Navy, he worked as an electrician and a refrigeration mechanic until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He lived in Alaska for 47 years where he enjoyed flying, hunting, and fishing. He was also a Freemason.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Saturday, August 05, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brothers Garry Gooch and Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur Gray and Ruby Etta Dooley Gray; daughter, Kathy Moe; brothers, Grady H. Gray and Morris Gray and sister, Martha Oliver.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Ozelene Bogus; son, Larry C. Gray both of Florence; son-in-law, Greg Moe of Boise, Idaho; sisters, Shirley Richardson of Mishawaka, Indiana, Eva York, Ruth Hipps (David) both of Florence; grandchildren, Colby Moe and Kelsy Porter(Andy) and great-granddaughter, Lottie Porter all of Boise, Idaho.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearer will be Cecil Myrick.
David Hipps and Sonny Bogus will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his caregivers at Home Instead, Eldercare and Kindred Hospice.
