Jerry Ray Cochran

Jerry Ray Cochran, 43, of Florence, left this life on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.  Jerry Ray was born to Sarah and Jerry Cochran on April 4, 1974 in Florence. He was a Coffee High School graduate, class of 1992. As a young man he worked at Foodland, later he was employed at Shoals Distributing and Southeastern Extrusion. Most recently he was self-employed in the fields of lawn care services and home repairs. He also assisted his dad at his place of business, Side Pocket Billiards. He was an amazing, outgoing person who made friends everywhere he went.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. The funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brad McKinnon officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

The Lord blessed him with three wonderful children whom he loved deeply and was very proud of. He had such a big heart and was full of generosity. He loved his family and friends so much; he will be extremely missed and greatly loved.

He is survived by his daughters, Keely and Aleesa; son, Aidan; the mother of his children, Miranda; mother, Sarah Cochran; father, Jerry Cochran (Debbie); honorary brother, Steven Balentine; step-brother, Byron Green (Katie); grandparents, James and Martha Posey, Mamie Cochran and Louise Brown; the love of his life, Felicia McMullan; Felicia’s sons: Dathan, Jayden, Braylan and Aryan and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Steven Balentine, Chris Fulton, Kitori Baugh, Eric Balentine, Corey Richey and Jeff Moore.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Bryon Green.
