Gene Armon Murphy, 76, of Florence, passed away on October 07, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was a member of a Baptist church. He was also a member of Pearl Masonic Lodge of Pearl River, Louisiana and IBEW L.U. #1077-#136.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Wade Hamner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Eugene Murphy and Ruby Blackmon Murphy.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Edward Murphy and Kevin Curtis Murphy; brother, Shelby Curtis Murphy; grandchildren, Justin Keith Murphy, Tyler Scott Murphy and Kamron Lee Murphy; great-grandchildren, Levi Glenn Murphy, Bracey Layne Murphy, Atreyu Gregory Murphy and Callum Murphy.
Serving as pallbearers will be Henry Murphy, Tommy Murphy, James Perryman, James Mackey, Jamie Dolan and Zack Glover.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bill Yeates, Lamar Yeates, Paul Dyson, Jimmy Hubbard and George Reynolds.
