Edith Putt

Edith Putt, 92, of Florence, passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 27, 2018. She attended St. James United Methodist Church, and was a retired production worker from General Electric in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bart Bowlin officiating.  Burial will follow in Kirkville Baptist Church Cemetery in Kirkville, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Putt; parents, J.C. and Carrie Baxter; daughters, Peggy Ashby and Phyllis Putt; and a son, R. Terry Putt.

Survivors include her sons, Walter Putt, Jr. (Barbara) of Florence, Kenny Putt (Vonda) of Magnolia, Texas and Timothy Putt (Fiancé) Denise of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sisters, Kathleen Nabors and Gearldine Fleming; 17 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Putt, Justin Putt, Bryan Putt, Steven Putt, Eric Putt, Nathan Putt, Dave Bark, and Timothy Putt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
