Donald Albert Turner, Jr.

Donald Albert Turner, Jr., 56, of Florence, passed away at his residence on November 21, 2018. He was a member of Hillsdale Free Methodist Church and the Gideons. He graduated from Coffee High School and Knox College. He received a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburg.  He was a professor at Hillsdale College prior to his illness.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home from 12 Noon - 1  p.m. on Saturday, December 01, 2018. The memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Susan Thompson and Reverend David Turner officiating.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Albert Turner, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Turner of Florence; brother, David Turner (Christy) of Virginia; sisters, Jan Ingle (Brian) of Florence, Sandra Niedergeses (Chris) of Killen, and Susan Thompson (Jeff) of Tennessee.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church, Hillsdale College or to the Gideons.
