Debra Lynn (Weiss) Manning

Debra Lynn Weiss-Manning, 59, of Florence, passed away August 23rd, 2018 following an extended illness. Born in Manistee, Michigan, she lived most of her life in Florence. She was a graduate of Bradshaw High School and Northwest Shoals Community College where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree, working for ECM Hospital for 27 years. Lynn had a wonderful heart and sweet spirit and was always willing to share a smile and kind word.

She enjoyed trips to the beach where her favorite past-time was shopping. She had a unique sense of style and enjoyed entertaining with wonderful food and amenities She was a music lover being the biggest fan of the Canadian rock group, Rush, and its bass playing member, Geddy Lee. Lynn loved spending time with family and friends. She was a caring friend to all who loved her.

Visitation will be Monday, August 27th, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Wood and Tommy Ruppel officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan I. Weiss of Detroit, Michigan and Bobbie D. Weiss of Cloverdale, Alabama; grandparents. Sam and Lillian Weiss of Detroit, Michigan and Robert “Bob” and Jewel Chowning of Cloverdale.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Manning and brother David Weiss (Tina) of Florence. Sisters-in-law Judy Withers, Janet Waller (Pat) and Marsha Jackson (Rickey). Nephews Joshua Russell, Wesley Withers, Brandon Withers (Jennifer), Patrick Waller (Katie) and Michael Waller (Jordan). Nieces Chelsea Phillips (Rocky) and CarrieRuth Jackson.

Lynn is widely loved and will be forever missed. Although Lynn’s Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called her home before we were ready; heaven is richer for it.

Pallbearers will be David Weiss, Joshua Russell, Brandon Withers, Wesley Withers, Michael Waller and Patrick Waller. Honorary pallbearers are Uncle Richard Weiss and cousins Randy Weiss and Michael Weiss all of the Detroit, Michigan area.

The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to her doctors, nurses and other staff at ECM Hospital.
