Bernard Zellner Obituary

Mr. Bernard High Zellner, 96, of Florence, passed away November 1, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Zellner served his country in the U.S. Army; he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Florence where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Director; he was also a member of the Institute of Learning in Retirement; TVA Retiree’s Association, and the Florence Rotary Club.

 

Visitation will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

 

Mr. Zellner was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Zellner; his bride of 68 years, Martha Dorris Zellner; daughter, Marty Wallace; and seven siblings.

 

He is survived by his son, Berny Zellner, Jr. (Pam) of Notasulga, AL; grandchildren, Leigh Harris (David) of Florence, Ben Zellner, III (April) of Fairhope, AL, and Brad Zellner of Atlanta, GA; and great-grandchildren, Bennett Zellner, IV, and Olivia Zellner.

 

Pallbearers will include: David Harris, Berny Zellner, Ben Zellner, Brad Zellner, Bill Nunnelly, and Nathan Nunnelly.
