Albert Ivan Osborn, 85, of Killen, passed away June 28, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Florence. He was a member of the Church of Christ; a U.S. Air Force veteran; and retired from Monarch Tile as a supervisor. He was married to the love of his life, Shirley, for 35 years. He loved his family dearly and was a kind and selfless man. He enjoyed gardening, working in his shop, and spending time at his homestead in Hackleburg. He got the most enjoyment out of spending time with children and grandkids. In the words of his youngest granddaughter, “he was the best daddy and granddaddy”; he will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Stan Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Osborn was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eva Osborn; wife, Shirley Ann Osborn; son, William Daven Osborn; brothers, Billy, Tommy, Julius, and Daven Osborn; and a sister, Nina Goodwin.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Osborn, Matthew Osborn (Renee); daughters, Shelia Brumbalow (Ron), Janet LaRose (Dan); brother, Cleveland Osborn; sister, Ann Granneman; and grandchildren, Loren Springer (Drew), Lindy Olive, Anna Kate Osborn, Mollie Beth Osborn, Daven LaRose, Nick LaRose, Abbi Osborn, and Luke Osborn.
Pallbearers will be Ron Brumbalow, Dan LaRose, Daven LaRose, Nick LaRose, Joey Clem, and Drew Springer.
