Barbara Ann (Russell) Simmons

Barbara Ann Simmons, 83, of Florence, passed away March 17, 2024.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Ian Butler.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lenolia Howard Russell; husband, David E. Simmons; and brothers, Johnny, Larry, and Jerry Russell.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Russell, Shane (Robin) and Paul Simmons (Crystal Flanagan); daughter, Kimberly Strickland (Joel); brother, Buddy Russell; sister, Mary Brooks; grandchildren, Troy and Dustin Simmons, Chelsey and Ashlyn Strickland, Bobby Dan Russell, and Jesse Sherrod; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Troy and Dustin Simmons, Jason Simmons, Blaine Brooks, Jason Russell, and Bobby Dan Russell.

Wayne Peden will serve as honorary pallbearer.
