William Richards Henderson, Jr., 78, of Florence, passed away October 7, 2015 at E.C.M. Hospital. He led a truly amazing life. He was a devoted father, talented musician, a very skilled guitar player, bass player and banjo player, truck driver, model railroader, traveler, freelance writer and avid reader. He loved baseball. He also was an Atlanta Braves fan; he had such a love of the sport he enjoyed watching all teams play.
A graveside service will be Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park with the Rev. Ted Vafeas officiating.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, William R. Henderson and Florence Deavers Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Claudetta Henderson of Florence; daughter, Lindsey Henderson Lawson (Terry) of Muscle Shoals; son, William R. Henderson, III (Kim) of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Ella and Olivia Lawson.
