Staff Sergeant, Hunter L. C. Davis, 27, of Florence, passed away on June 07, 2016. He was a 2007 graduate of Florence High School and a member of Edgemont United Methodist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran assigned to the 352nd Special Operation Maintenance Squadron, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. He served as a crew chief on the CV-22 Osprey Helicopter.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 10:00 a.m.- noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at noon in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Storie officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with full military honors.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Davis, Jr. and Lavada Davis and his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Alice Crawford.
Survivors include his dad, William “Bill” Davis, III; mother, Lynne Davis; sister, Holly Davis Clark (Adam); niece, Mary Lawson Clark; nephew, Everett Clark and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church at 700 North Wood Avenue, Florence, AL 35630 or to the Walter Reed Society at 8901 Wisconsin Avenue # 303, Bethesda, MD 20889-5600.
