Ruth Eileen Spivey, 63, of Florence, passed away November 9, 2017. She was a registered nurse at E.C.M. Hospital for 33 years. Eileen was a beloved mother, wife, and a friend to all who knew her. She loved traveling, crafting, and Alabama football.
Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Joshua Myhan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Spivey was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Inez Gross; son, Brandon Hayes, and a sister, Libby Fuller.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Spivey of Florence; daughters, Ellen Woodruff (Richard) of Tuscumbia, and Lena Lowery (Ian) of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Eddie Gross of Texas; sisters, Jemmy Todd of Texas, Linda Boyce (David) of Tennessee, and Judy Burns (John Holley) of Maude, AL; and a granddaughter, Nora Woodruff.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
