Russell Todd Hill, age 50, of Florence, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 after a short illness. Russell was employed with Sundrop-RC Cola Company as a Warehouse Manager with eleven years of service, and he was an avid Alabama fan.
Visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2016 from 11-1 p.m. at Cypress Creek Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Carey Collum and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Sherrod Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Sarah Hill; brothers, Dennis and Terry Hill; brother-in-law, Larry Hamm; and special nephews, Mitchell and Keith Hamm.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny Lee Gault Hill; step-daughter, Jennifer Davidson (Brian Copeland), step-grandchildren, Matthew and Ashlee Davidson; brother, Kenneth Hill (Jennifer); sisters, Glenda Hamm, Shirley Hines (Jerry); many special nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved pets, Boo, Tommy, and Smokey.
Active pallbearers will be, Trenton Taylor, Bill Bray, Josh Patterson, Billy Stokes, Mark Mason, and David Steele.
Nicholas Hill, Braden Taylor, and Tommy Howell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Helen Keller Hospital, and the 6th floor nurses at E.C.M. Hospital for their care and compassion.
