Roy David Yancy

Roy David Yancy, 73, of Florence, passed away on January 20, 2018 at his residence.  He was a United States Navy veteran and retired from Reynolds Metals in 2003 after 31 years.  He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a Deacon Emeritus for Highland. He was also a member of the Lions Club and was a Volunteer of the Year in 2010.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be in Greenview Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m with Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Mildred Dillard Yancy and his brother, Thomas Lee Yancy.

Survivors include his wife, Pattsy Beth Nutt Yancy; son, Ronald David Yancy (Kim); daughter, Donna Kathleen Schroeder; sister, Bettie Catherine Yancy Hedrick (Kenneth); grandchildren, Cody Lee, Clay Scott and Collin David Schroeder and Wyatt David, Brady Reid and Peyton Dawn Yancy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Schroeder, Clay Schroeder, Collin Schroeder, Wyatt Yancy, Brady Yancy, and Mickey Price.
