Ralph N. Emmons, 78, of Magnolia Springs, AL, formerly of Florence, passed away July 6, 2015. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local #760, and a graduate of Sheffield High School where he excelled as a football player.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Emmons officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Emmons was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Cora Emmons; eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, David Emmons; daughter, Melissa Emmons; brother, Wes Emmons (Donna); sister-in-law, Joan Emmons; former wife and dear friend, Joann Patterson (L.C.); grandchild, Molly Ann Emmons; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be nephews, Ricky, Matt, Ronnie, Jimmy, and Lee Bratton, and Tony Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Sheffield Bulldogs Breakfast Club.
