Polly Hogan Underwood

Polly Hogan Underwood, 84, of Florence, passed away on April 02, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ and a charter board member of the Underwood Petersville Community Center.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on April 04, 2017 from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be April 05, 2017 at Mars Hill Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. with Brian Jarrett and Chris Moran officiating.  The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Will” Hogan and Rena “Rennie” Dodd Hogan; brothers, Bill and Huey Hogan.

Survivors include her husband, David Underwood, Sr.; sons, David Underwood, Jr. (Phyllis) and Danny Underwood (Shirley); daughters, Yvonne Willingham and Laura Parker (Jerry); brothers, Quention Hogan (Judy) and James Leo Hogan; sister, Margaret Batchelor (Vic); grandchildren, Michelle Priddy(Barry), Jamie Atkisson, Emily DuBose (Ben), Luke Underwood (Britney), Will Underwood  and Tina Atkisson; 8 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Danny McFall and the nurses and staff at E.C.M. Hospital of 5th floor west.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Will Underwood, Luke Underwood, Ricky Underwood, Steve Hogan, Stan Hogan and Michael Batchelor.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Neal Eastep.
