Mrs. Opal Valentine Horton, 94, of Florence, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Audie Bogus and Erik Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Horton; daughter, Judy Parrish; grandson, Dusty Horton; great-granddaughter, Brooke Parrish; parents, Frank and Minnie Valentine; and siblings, Calvin, Alvin, and Bill Valentine.
She is survived by her son, Steve Horton (Ellen) of Florence; daughter, Debbie Hunt of Killen; brother, Lloyd Valentine of Florence; grandchildren, Greg Parrish (Elizabeth), Mark Parrish, Beth Kilpatrick, Jeff Horton (Candi), Kayla Hunt, and Erik Hunt (Amanda); 9 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Horton, Erik Hunt, Donnie Waller, Billy Valentine, and Danny Hunt.
Mike Hunt will serve as honorary pallbearer.
