Melinda L (Larson) Nye

Melinda L. Nye, 63, of Killen, passed away January 20, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness.

A recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, January 23, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. with the visitation from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Roy Runkle and the Rev. Henry McDaid officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Rest in Escanaba, Michigan.

Mrs. Nye was preceded in death by her parents, Nelse Albin and Ethel Madeline Larson; son, Christopher; brother, Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, David Nye of Killen; son, Seth Nye (Kelle) of New Albany, Ohio; daughters, Sarah Myrick (Jonathan) of Birmingham, Carly Nye (Joseph) of Huntsville; sisters, Katherine “Kitty” Olsen (Charles), Estelle “Ellie” Myron (Chuck); grandchildren, Catherine, Jacob, Eli, and Caroline Myrick.

Children, spouses and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
