Marvin Thomas Thigpen

Marvin Thomas Thigpen, 86, of Florence, passed away March 22, 2015 at E.C.M. Hospital. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Chris Underwood and the Rev. Ryan Tyler officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers.Mr. Thigpen was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mary Thigpen; brother, John Thigpen; sister, Mae Newton.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tucker Thigpen; son, Thomas Thigpen (Darline); sisters, Martha Bass, Dorothy McCanless, Mary Fowler (Phillip); grandchildren, Sarah Nicole Peeden (Eddie), Amanda Melissa McFall (Brent); great-grandchildren, Kimberly Estes, and Katie Beth Peeden.
