Lois Holloway Smith, 88, of Waterloo, passed away February 25, 2017 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church.
Visitation will be today, Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Lighthouse Apostolic Church. Officiating will be Paul Holloway and David Dowdy. Burial will follow in Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, JP Smith; son, David M. Smith; and a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Smith (Leslie Jones), Elree Smith (Annie), Gary Smith (Kathy), and Dennis Smith (Pam); daughters, Kathy Murphy, Karen Minton (Doug), and Lila Goodwin (Mike); brother, Phillip Holloway; sisters, Ester Witt, Ann Balentine, and Jean Adams; thirty-two grandchildren; ninety-eight great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will include: Tim Smith, Jeff Smith, Shandon Smith, Brent Smith, Trey Goodwin, and Frank Murphy.
Dillard Murphy and Polaris Murphy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
