Mrs. Levera Mitchell Westmoreland, 91, of Florence, passed away July 5, 2017 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a charter and faithful member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ; and was a dear loving mother, grandmother, and wife, however, she had no regrets about “beating” her children or husband in cards, croquet, badminton, horse shoes, etc.!
Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 10-12 Noon at Jackson Heights Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon at the church with Ronnie Pannell and Barry Gilreath officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Westmoreland was preceded in death by her husband, F.K. “Pete” Westmoreland, Sr.; parents and thirteen siblings; son, Thomas Mason Westmoreland; daughter, Jennifer Boyd; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah Trimm.
She is survived by her sons, Ken Westmoreland (Fran), Ronald Westmoreland (Debbie); son-in-law, Erick Boyd; daughter-in-law, Sue Westmoreland; sister, Marcile Hairston; sister-in-law, Jenny Mitchell; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
