Kathryn Elizabeth (Wilson) Bergob

Kathryn Elizabeth Wilson Bergob, 84, of Florence, passed away at her residence on January 08, 2018 after having suffered with Alzheimer’s. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.  A mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Roy Runkle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold “Buddy” Bergob; sons, Anthony and Michael Bergob; parents, Cecil and Myrtle Wilson; step-mother, Christine Wilson; sister, Imogene Carter; brother-in-law, Fred Carter and brother, Pete Wilson.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Watkins (Curtis) of Florence; grandchildren, Charlie Watkins of Decatur and Elly Collins (Guy) of Florence and great-grandchildren, Joel Paxton and Noah Lee Collins both of Florence; sister, Christie Orr; and step-sister, Carolyn Jones.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Watkins, Guy Collins, Joe Mauter, Tom Bergob, Lance Carter, and Dennis Gatlin.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Pongetti and Tom McHugh.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Mann, Sr. for the care he provided for mother. We also wish to thank Hospice of North Alabama for the care, compassion, and the love they gave her.

Donations, in her memory, may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund.
