Joel "Butch" Edwin Norton

Joel “Butch” Edwin Norton, 67, of Florence, passed away March 14, 2018.

Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mike Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. Norton was preceded in death by his father, Sykes Norton; mother, Hazel Dutton; and a brother, David Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Lindsey Norton; sons, Mike Norton (Jeania), Joey Norton (Lisa), and Heath Peden (Brandy); a brother, Gerry Norton (Kaye); sisters, Patricia Black (Wayne), Janice Cluxton (Robert), and Roseann Cole (Darren); and grandchildren, Joseph Dale Norton, Anna Norton, and Jacob Cook.

Active pallbearers will be Levi Fell, Jacob Cook, Brandon Leahy, Zac Norton, Brent Luke, and Darren Cole.

Steve Fell, Robert Cluxton, Dustin Cole, Joseph Cole, and Jason Murphy will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell and Dr. Matthew Wilbanks.
