JoAnn Robertson Hornsby, 77, of Florence, passed away April 4, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church which she loved very much, and she was the #1 Braves fan! JoAnn was the world’s greatest cook; she was very famous for her homemade chocolate pies.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Omie Robertson; and a brother, Thomas Robertson.
Survivors include her husband, Dale C. Hornsby of 56 ½ years, whom she loved very much; her children and grandchildren of whom she was very proud , Glenn Hornsby, Jennifer Hornsby-Myers, Nannette Hornsby Burrage, and Julianna Hornsby Young, Jacob and Lucas Hornsby, Lila and Emma Young.
The deacons of Highland Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
