Jerry McKinley Rickard, 81, of Florence, passed away on June 14, 2017 at his residence. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He retired from Reynold Metal Company. He served our country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Jerry Henderson and Lonell Plyler officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Rickard; mother, Willie Rickard; brothers, David Austin Rickard (Bud), John Robert Rickard, Howard Sidney Rickard, two infant brothers, Thomas Rickard; sisters, Alma Lois Rickard, Loretta Carroll “Sis”, Rothie Cooper, Louise Furgerson, Charline Williams and Billie Jean Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Henderson Rickard; sons, Jerry Michael Rickard (Nikki), Dwight A. Rickard (Laurel) and Andy Rickard (Sara); daughter, Connie Konig (Carroll); twin brother, Joseph Mark Rickard Sr.; sister, Nancy C. DaVinci; grandchildren, Cole Bishop, Clay Keeton, DaCota Keeton, MiKala Rickard, D.J. Rickard, Lewis Rickard, Patrick Rickard, Katie Konig, Lindsay Konig, Jordan Richardson and Andrew Rickard and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Bishop, D.J. Rickard, Lewis Rickard, Andrew Rickard, Dan Henderson and Scott Rickard.
