Jerrie Elaine Dozier

Mrs. Jerrie Elaine Dozier, 75, of Florence passed away on February 01, 2016 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated as the valedictorian from the Providence School of Nursing in Mobile, Alabama. She served the community as a registered nurse working with the American Red Cross, Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation and Florence Hospital.

Visitation for Mrs. Dozier will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Greenview Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Father Roy Runkle officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Dozier Sr.; son, Bill Dozier; parents, James and Velma Jackson and a beloved daughter-in-law, Charlotte Dozier.

Survivors include her sons, John Walter Dozier, Jr. and Thomas M. Dozier; daughters, Tina Lee Torgerson, Mary Jane Kelley(Daniel) and Harriett E. McAfee; brothers, James C. Jackson Jr. and Emmett A. Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Kelley, Cody Dozier, Chase Dozier, Nicholas Williams, Banks Torgerson and Grant Torgerson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sgt. Cory A. Williams, USMC and Dennis Mitchell.
