Jeffrey Tyler Mecke, 32, of Huntsville, passed away on August 05, 2017. Tyler was a graduate from Central High School and a member of Faith Church. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved the outdoors. He had many lifelong friends who will remember him for his whit, charm, goofy personality and his infectious smile. He was a devoted believer in the Lord. We love you Tyler, fly high.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Joyce Sanderson; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Roberson; and paternal grandfather, Mike Mecke.
Survivors include his mother, Angie Leah Hastings and step-dad, Leon Hastings of Huntsville, father, Jeffrey David Mecke of Florence; grandfather, Ralph Sanderson; aunts, Kathy Barclay (Larry), Rhonda Butrum (Bill), Emily Sanderson and Celia Whitaker; uncles, Scooter Sanderson (Amy), Keith Sanderson(Danielle), Clint Sanderson and Joey Mecke; step-grandmother, Dora Hastings; special cousins, Aaron, Patrick and Ryan Sanderson.
