James Doyle Newman, 89, of Florence, passed away August 15, 2017 at Mitchell Hollingsworth. He was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 12-1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park with Rich Hardeman officiating.
Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Newman; parents, Henry and Mattie Newman; brother, Frank Newman, and sisters, Margaret Forsythe, and Charlene Newman.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Newman (Lynn); daughter, Judy Newman Noah (H.L.); grandchildren, Matt Noah (Leigh), Russ Noah (Megan), Drew Newman (Gwen), and Emily Baker (Clint); and four great-grandchildren.
