Mr. Gregory A. “Greg” Young, 62, of Florence, passed away. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church; a welding inspector and a member of the American Welding Society; a 1972 graduate of Bradshaw High School; an Alabama fan; and an avid racing fan both of NASCAR and motorcycle. Greg loved attending concerts, and he was a dedicated reader.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 in Greenview Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m. with Brother Chris Underwood officiating.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Knox and Maxine Young.
He is survived by his brother, Kelly Young (Kathy); sisters, Sheree Barnes (Marty), and Kerry Young Pillow all of Florence; nephews, Martin Barnes, III, Mitchell Barnes, and Miller Barnes; nieces, Caroline Young and Catherine Young.
