Edyth Wylene Daily

Mrs. Edyth Wylene Daily, age 96, of Florence, went home to heaven Wednesday, January 28, 2015.  She was a member of Underwood Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.  Funeral  services will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial in Greenview Memorial Park.  Officiating will be the Rev. Donnie McDaniel and Sonny Owens.

Mrs. Daily was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Threet, Sr and Martha Ann Threet ; her loving  husband of 68 yrs. Wallace W. Daily; sisters, Clara Rae Green, Libby Darby; brothers, Charles Threet, Willie Lee Threet, Jr. and Dan Threet; son-in-law, Gene Tomlinson.   She is survived by, son, Johnny Daily and wife, Kathy; daughters, Necia Tomlinson and Trecia Somers and husband, Buddy;  brothers, Grady Threet, David Threet, Jim Threet, Donald Threet and Nathan Threet.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leanne Tomlinson Beavers (Steve), Mark Tomlinson (Angie), Trent Tomlinson (Angel), Cindy Somers Burgess (Steve), Chris Somers (Tracie), Rachael Daily Butler (Chad) and Russell Daily (Tiffany); 18 great-grand children and 1 great-great granddaughter.  Also survived by sisters-in-law, Eddie Lee Brust (Bill) and Ivadelle Aston and special cousin John Bevis.

Pallbearers will be Russell Daily, Chris Somers, Mark Tomlinson, Trent Tomlinson, Steve Burgess and Chad Butler.

 Honorary pallbearers will include Steve Beavers, Owen Lewis, Jerry Phillips.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Jeanette Eaton and Jean Hutton who have loved and cared for our family for many years.  We would also like to thank our church family at Underwood Baptist Church for their many kind acts and our neighbors for always remembering us.

Wylene was cherished as a Godly, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister and we will miss her greatly!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
