Dianne (Roye) Britt

Dianne Roye Britt, age 65, of Florence, passed from this life Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. Dianne was born November 6, 1951 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. She was a member of McGregor Chapel First Baptist Church in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and a practicing RN for seven years before becoming a full time wife, homemaker, and mother to her three children whom she loved and cherished dearly.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Steve Nichols and Brother Jim Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Marvin N. Roye; brother, David Neal Roye; nephew, Shane Miller; and nieces, Connie Marie Roye and Megan Roye.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Ron” Britt of Florence; daughters, Lori Lindsey (Danny) of Florence, Karen Weatherly (Josh) of Hamilton, AL; son, Joey Britt of Florence; mother, Bobbie Roye; and a brother, Phil Roye (Cathy) all of Pontotoc, Mississippi; sister, Ramona Miller of Ecru, Mississippi; grandchildren, Evan Weatherly, Andrew Lindsey, and Luke Weatherly; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will include: Clarence Darby, Daryl Weatherly, Mark Autry, Kenny Rogers, Jimmy Malone, and Roger Landers.

Dianne’s nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
