Dennie Eugene Butler, 74, of Florence, passed away October 24, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church, L.O.O.M. 2034 of Florence and the American Leigon Post 0308.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon. The funeral service will follow in Greenview Memorial Chapel at 12:00 Noon with Brother Billy George and Brother Mickey Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton Butler and Louise Burgess Butler; son, Gene Butler and brother, Gentry Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Butler; sons, Greg Butler (Amanda) and Michael Butler (Barbara); brothers, Ralph Butler (Brenda) and Elgie Butler (Joan) and grandchild, Lenaee Butler.
Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Vessell, Jr., Michael Chambers, Danny Dial, Jason King, Louis Ritchie and Stanley Skipworth.
