Danny Arlon Liles, 69, of Florence, passed away January 27, 2018. He was retired from Allen Thornton Trade School as an auto body instructor. He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, neighbor, and friend. He was known for being organized and always having “whatever” someone might need. He was never without a piece of candy. Danny was loved by all the neighborhood children throughout the years. He loved to fish and camp. He had a special working buddy, “Rylan” who helped with his projects. He will be missed!
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery.
Mr. Liles was preceded in death by his parents, Arlon and Lillian Liles; brother, Gordon; sisters, Norma Jean, and Sandra.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Belcher Liles of Florence; son, Lin Liles (Sandy) of Rogersville; daughter, Gwen Morris of Arab; brothers, Larry Liles, and Paul Liles (Shannon); sister, Carolyn East (Bill); grandchildren, Zach Liles, Rebecca Liles, Hannah Morris, Blake Liles, and Mallory Morris; and a brother-in-law, Billy Peden.
Active pallbearers will include: Keith Ward, Michael Wolfe, Bob Melvin, Ali Sharif, Jonathan Belcher, and Lin Liles.
Don Darling, Thomas Belcher, and Dennis Collier will serve as honorary pallbearers.
