Anthony Reeder Kimbrough, 48, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away September 14, 2016 at Tampa General Hospital. He graduated from Bradshaw in 1986 and Samford University in 1991 with a degree in Public Administration. Reed had a kind spirit and gentle nature that endeared him to all those who knew him. He enjoyed archery, fishing, cooking and tennis. He handcrafted his own bows and many were works of art. His nephews, Taylor and Carson learned many life lessons from him and thought he was an amazing uncle. He loved his family very much. Reed was a member of the Sarasota Archery Club, and a volunteer for the Desoto National Memorial.
Visitation will be Monday, September 19, 2016 from 10 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chad Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Reed was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Lucile Kimbrough, and Charles and Fernonde Fly.
He is survived by his parents, Reeder and Sheila Kimbrough; sister, Angeline Strawbridge; nephews, Taylor and Carson Strawbridge all of Florence; and a step-son, Steven Laporte of Bradenton, Florida.
Pallbearers will include: Taylor Strawbridge, Carson Strawbridge, Jeff Jenkins, Chuck Fly, Barry Fly, and Jared Wood.
